LOG MOUNTAIN — Saturday’s matchup between Bell County and Whitley County could be a preview of things to come when 13th Region Tournament action tips off in a couple of weeks.
Both teams have 20 wins apiece, and only one other team has at least 20 wins and that’s top-ranked Harlan County.
The Colonels possess six players that are averaging at least six points per game. Evan Ellis leads the way with a 15-point scoring average while Dre Ellis is averaging 13.2 points per game. Lucas Queener is averaging 9.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while Bryson Mahan is averaging 8.7 points per game. Bryce Anderson is chipping in 8.5 points per game while Jackson Petrey is averaging 6.3 points per game.
In the flip side, Brad Sizemore’s Bobcats receive balanced scoring as well.
Cameron Hall is dishing out 18.9 points per game while Blake Burnett isn’t far at 17.1 points per game. Ethan Buell is dishing out 14.1 points per game while Jaxon Thomas (9.0 points per game), and Cayden Huff (5.6) follow.
Buell leads the team with a 6.4 rebounding average while Burnett averages 5.6 boards per game and Huff is averaging 5.2 rebounds per game.
