Williamsburg cruises in a 85-44 victory

WILLIAMSBURG — Anthony Hibbard’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets are playing their best ball at the best time.
With the 50th District Tournament tipping off next week, the Yellow Jackets are building momentum to make a postseason run.
Williamsburg (17-13) took another step in the right direction Thursday, defeating Ligon, 85-44.
“Good finish to the regular season for us,” Hibbard said. “Everyone on our team contributed to the win tonight. We have seen some real growth from all of our players this season on and off the court. We think we are trending in the right direction and I am excited to see how much more we can get out these guys. We have to use the next few days and prepare for a tough first round matchup against Corbin next Tuesday.”
Andrew Smith led the Yellow Jackets with 25 points while Henry Bowling added 18 points.
