Partin pours in 31 point scoring effort to lead Lynn Camp past Burgin

BURGIN — Lynn Camp’s Lauren Partin scored a game-high 31 points while Sayde Mobley added nine points to lead the Lady Wildcats to a hard-fought 51-50 win over Burgin.

The one-point win snapped a seven-game losing streak for Lynn Camp as the Lady Wildcats improved to 4-23.

“Tonight was a nail biter,” Lynn Camp coach Joshua Mobley said. “We fought through foul trouble tonight, but everyone stepped up big and filled roles the way that needed to be done well enough to pull out a win. We moved the ball well tonight on offense to get to good shots, make or miss. We also gave them trouble on the offensive glass tonight a lot to get a lot of second chance points.

“Defensively our press controlled pace well, and created some early turnovers which helped us offensively as well,” he added. “This will give us a boost of confidence before preparation for districts. We are on the way back home now in order to prepare for district at our place next week.”
