Black Bears have five players score in double figures during 91-54 win to Middlesboro

HARLAN — A slow start in the first quarter didn’t keep Harlan County from handing Middlesboro a 91-54 loss during Tuesday’s Semifinal action of the 52nd District Tournament.

The Black Bears (27-4) clinched their spot in next week’s 13th Region Tournament by cruising to an easy 37-point win. They also improved to 14-0 against regional opponents. 

The region’s top ranked team placed five players in double figures. Trent Noah led the way with 30 points while Maddox Huff added 21 points. Jaycee Carter added 13 points while Caleb Johnson and Reggie Cottrell finished with 10 points apiece.

Jeremiah Beck led the Yellow Jackets (10-20) with 16 points while Trey King finished with 12 points.
