CORBIN — A 29-point, 14-rebound effort from junior Halle Collins played a big role in Knox Central’s 51-36 51st District Tournament championship win over Pineville on Friday.
Collins was hard to handle, 16 points in the second half while finishing the game a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe.
Jaylynn Fain scored nine for the Lady Panthers while Hannah Melton followed with four points.
Knox Central led 11-7 after the first quarter and never looked back.
Nadine Johnson led Pineville with 25 points while Rachel Howard had seven points and Ava Arnett scored four points.
