Dixon Law Office Presents: North Laurel looking to repeat in a loaded girls’ field of teams

CORBIN — The 13th Region Girls’ Tournament bracket is set up to have a lot of fun and interesting games this week at The Arena.
Defending 13th Region champion North Laurel enters with a region-best 26-5 record while possession a 14-2 mark against regional opponents. The Lady Jaguars two losses were against Corbin and Knox Central.
The Lady Redhounds (20-8) aren’t too far behind, and many believe they’ll be cutting the nets down for the second time during the past three years.
Knox Central (22-9) possesses enough talent to win the region tournament. The Lady Panthers also posses the region’s top player in Halle Collins.
Bell County (18-13) captured the 52nd District title and will attempt to bring a region title home to Log Mountain.
Jackson County (22-9) along with South Laurel (19-13) are possibly the two most dangerous district runner-up teams in the region tourney.
Pineville (20-9) and Harlan (18-13) are talented as well, and could make a run at the region crown.
