Lady Redhounds’ quest to capture 15th consecutive regional championship begins this week

CORBIN — Chris Jones’ Corbin Lady Redhounds are ready to begin another season on the hardcourt with hopes of capturing their 15th consecutive regional championship.
Jones has constructed a competitive slate despite graduating half of his region team from last season.
Even with the losses due to graduation, Jones’ squad is expected to do big things this spring.
“We are looking forward to another great season building on our 14 consecutive regional championships and working toward No. 15,” he said. “We took a big hit graduating half our region team, however we expect to be very competitive again as we return three region champions, Lindsay Jones, Katie Morton and Olivia McArthur while adding seventh grader, Isabella Lopez, who will have a major impact in her first year.
“Behind these, we have several girls who have worked hard and improved during the off-season,” he added. “We’ve put together a very tough schedule playing some of the top teams from around the state with a goal of making a deep run at the state tournament.”
