Wildcats drop season-opener to McCreary Central 

STEARNS — Lynn Camp’s season-opener against McCreary Central didn’t go the way coach Joey Moore wanted on Monday.

The Wildcats took a trip on KY 92 and faced off against McCreary Central, losing in three innings, 15-0.

The Raiders scored 10 runs in the first inning while adding five more runs in the second inning before wrapping up the game in the top of the third.

McCreary Central collected 10 hits while limiting the Wildcats (0-1) to only one.

Zach Thorpe took the loss on the mound, surrendering seven hits and eight earned runs in one inning of work while Ethan Curry tossed an inning, allowing three hits and five earned runs.

The two pitchers combined to walk seven batters in the loss.
