Lady Wildcats open season with 20-0 win over Jellico, Tenn. 

CORBIN — It was an easy day at the office for Nikki Hendrix’s Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats.

After scoring two runs in the first inning of Monday’s season-opener against Jellico, Tenn., the Lady Wildcats (1-0) scored early and often in the second inning (18 runs to be exact), to collect an impressive 20-0 win.

Lynn Camp finished with 13 hits as Jorja Carnes dominated in the mound, striking out eight batters while allowing only one hit and one walk.

Lily Henize led the way at the plate with three hits, three RBI, and two runs scored while Lauren Partin was 2-for-3 with four RBI, and three runs scored. Emma Burnette was perfect at the plate with a 3-for-3 effort while driving in three runs and scoring twice. Carnes finished 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBI, and three runs scored while Chelsea Hendrickson had two hits, two RBI, and three runs scored. Julie Moore finished with a hit, two RBI and two runs scored while Charity Steele and Cambree Prewitt each had an RBI and a run scored apiece. Allison Messer scored twice.
