LONDON — Keaton Creech turned out to be the hero during South Laurel’s 4-3 come from behind win against Garrard County on Monday.
The Cardinals entered the bottom of the seventh inning trailing, 3-2, but pushed a run across home plate to tie the game before seeing Creech deliver the game-winning hit.
He also picked up the win on the mound, tossing the final four innings, allowing three hits, no runs while fanning four batters.
Cole Harville started the game, tossing three innings while surrendering three earned runs.
South Laurel collected eight hits with Hunter Bundy leading the way. He went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while finishing with two stolen bases.
Wayne Hensley, Vincent Sizemore, and Creech each finished with a hit and RBI apiece. Harville, Jack Vaughn and Reece Noble each had a hit apiece while Will Alsip drove in a run.
