LEXINGTON — Bethlehem rallied from a six point deficit in the second half to defeat Pikeville during Thursday’s first round action of the KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16.
The Banshees trailed 32-26 at halftime before using an 18-8 run in the third quarter to take control of the game. They outscored the Lady Panthers, 12-9, to secure a 56-49 victory.
Leah Macy’s 31-point scoring effort led the way for Bethlehem. She connected with 12-of-19 shot attempts while also finishing with 17 rebounds.
Trinity Rowe led Pikeville with 17 points while Kyera Thornsbury finished with 14 points.
