LEXINGTON — A 12-2 run in the third quarter jumpstarted Henderson County as the Lady Colonels fought back from a 26-19 halftime deficit to slip past Owensboro, 43-39, during first round action of the KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16.
Henderson County (25-7) only played six players but still found a way to pull out the win as Atylia Green led the way with 17 points. Anna Kemp scored six points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
