LOG MOUNTAIN — The Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets’ struggles carries over into Tuesday’s game against Bell County.
The Lady Yellow Jackets (0-4) collected only five hits while committing five errors during their 11-1 loss to the Lady Bobcats, who are now 2-4.
Bell County built a 6-0 lead before Williamsburg scored its first run in the fifth inning. The Lady Bobcats put the game away with six runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Jayda Boateng led Bell County with a 3-for-5 effort at the plate with two RBI and three runs scored while Addison Lucas and Alexis Lawson each delivered two hits apiece.
Adyson Scott picked up the win, tossing six innings while allowing five hits and one earned run. She finished with 13 strikeouts.
Allie Wilson, Brooklyn Taylor, Kaitlyn Moses, Kaydence Parker and Jasmine Stephens each had hits for Williamsburg.
