Jaguars fall to 1-2 with 11-1 loss to Madison Central

RICHMOND — It was a long day in Richmond for Darren McWhorter’s North Laurel Jaguars after they dropped an 11-1 loss to Madison Central on Tuesday.

The Jaguars (1-2) managed only four hits in the loss while surrendering eight walks.

“It’s hard to win when you walk or hit eight batters,” McWhorter said. “Madison Central is a very good team with great team speed. To beat them you have to play a clean game, but we made it easy for them tonight.”

The Indians led 3-0 after the second inning while North Laurel scored its lone run in the top of the third. Madison Central added four runs in the bottom of the third and three runs in the bottom of the fourth before wrapping up the win with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Andrew Cupp, Cooper Parman, Eli Holt and Dylan Hurley each had a hit for the Jaguars. Holt also drove in North Laurel’s lone run.
