Lady Wildcats waste no time in handing Barbourville 15-0 loss

CORBIN — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats came out swinging against 51st District foe Barbourville, collecting 15 hits, including two home runs during their 15-0 win over the Lady Tigers.

Lynn Camp (5-1) scored early and often, pushing across six runs in the first inning while never looking back. The Lady Wildcats added three runs in the second inning, four runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth innings.

Jorja Carnes was almost unhittable in the pitcher’s circle, allowing only one hit in four scoreless innings while striking out eight batters.

Lily Henize finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate which included connecting with a home run while driving in two runs and scoring twice. Allison Messer was 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored while Chelsea Hendrickson had three hits, and scored three times. Lauren Partin connected with a triple, finishing with two hits, three RBI, and three runs scored while Carnes a double, two hits, four RBI, and scored once. Emma Burnette and Julie Moore each added a hit apiece. Moore also scored twice. 

Lindsey Thomas had Barbourville’s (1-5) lone hit.
