WILLIAMSBURG — Jeremy Shope’s Whitley County Colonels took a 3-2 loss to the hands of Great Crossing on Saturday despite out-hitting the War Hawks, 6-3.
The Colonels committed four errors that led to two unearned runs.
Ronald Osborne led Whitley County with two hits while EJ Allen finished with a hit and an RBI. Matthew Wright, Bryce Anderson, and Jason Nunley each finished with a hit apiece. Chris Cureton and Shane Parker delivered a hit apiece.
Wilson tossed 3 2/3 of an inning allowing a hit and an earned run while striking out two batters. Trey Walton took the loss, pitching 2 1/3 of an inning while allowing two hits and a run. He struck one batter out.
