LONDON — South Laurel’s freshman phenom Kenzie Williams turned in a 4-for-4 effort at the plate, driving in three runs and scoring once to guide the Lady Cardinals (5-2) to a 10-7 win over Russell County.
South Laurel stared down a 7-3 deficit entering the bottom of the fourth inning before exploding for six runs to take a 9-7 edge.
The Lady Cardinals added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure the win.
Morgan Jackson had two hits, three runs scored and one RBI while Amara Horn, and Skye Lawson finished with a hit and an RBI apiece. Emmie Rice finished with a hit and two RBI while Addison Baker finished with a hit and two runs scored. Ryleigh Bretz had two hits and scored twice while Bailey Frazier finished with a hit and a run scored.
Audrey Likins got the win while Williams picked up the save.
