This past weekend BCHS had six teams (12 students) compete in the Bass Pro Shops High School Tournament Series on Cherokee Lake. This was the team’s third tournament of the year, and Evan Heck and Noah Brock performed well weighing in two fish for a weight of 5.31 pounds, which put them in 30th place out of 215 teams. Ty Mays and Mason Sziksai also weighed in one fish for a weight of 1.4 pounds, putting them in 86th place out of 215 team.
The final regular season tournament will be on April 13 on South Holston Lake. The top 50 teams will advance to the Championship, which will be held on Douglas Lake on May 18th. Heck and Brock currently stand in 36th place and Mays and Sziksai are in 57th place with one tournament left.
