Corbin’s Danni Foley turns in perfect game in the pitcher’s circle and at the plate

STEARNS — Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds punched their ticket into the Class 2A, Section 7 title game after upending Bell County, 20-0, on Wednesday.

The Lady Redhounds (4-3) scored early and often against the Lady Bobcats as Danni Foley turned in an impressive effort at the plate and in the pitcher’s circle.

Foley was a perfect 4-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs while also connecting with two doubles. She finished with 12 total bases in the win.

Foley was also perfect in the pitcher’s circle, recording a perfect game while striking out all nine batters she faced.

“My Lady Redhounds were stout tonight from the first at bat, seeing the ball well, waiting for good pitches, and ready to hit,” Stidham said. “Danni Foley went 4-for-4 tonight at the plate with home runs, two doubles and six RBI. Morgan Hicks was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Bailey Stewart was 2-for-4 with four runs and two RBI, Raegan Walker was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored.

“Kennedie Guiher, Kallie Housley, and Anela Sanders all tacked on a hit a piece,” she added. “Housley had an RBI and four runs while Kennedie got an RBI as well. Mikaila Hopkins and Alana Stidham got two runs while Raegan Hinkle and Xandria Roark both finished with a run each.

“My ladies were poised at the plate waiting on the right pitches and made things happen,” Stidham continued. “Danni Foley shut them down from the circle facing nine batters and striking nine out for the shut out no-hitter win. We finally have all my team back and we are healthy and just getting in the groove with each other. Super-proud of them while being able to get every player in tonight at some capacity in our game. Now we have to get set to go for the sectional championship tomorrow. Let’s Go Lady Redhounds.”
