Corbin captured its sixth consecutive win over Southwestern while improving to 4-4 during the process by defeating the Warriors, 6-1, on Thursday.
The Redhounds have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with Southwestern as Gabe Cima scored four goals in the victory. Sheel Patel, and Jeffery Morton also scored.
Cima scored two of his goals in the first half, giving Corbin a 2-1 lead at halftime. Pastel’s goal during the 60th minute pushed the Redhounds’ lead to 3-1.
Cima followed by scoring consecutive goals during the 68th and 69th minutes to give his team a 5-1 advantage. Morton’s goal during the 72nd minute wrapped up the win for Corbin.
Armando Cima’s squad will be back in action Saturday on the road against Pulaski County.
