PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — The Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets never got on track during their matchup against Greenup County on Tuesday.
They fell behind 6-0 in the first inning and 13-0 after two innings of play before eventually dropping a 15-0 decision in three innings.
Andrea Winchester’s squad had hopes of collecting back-to-back wins for the first time this season, but seven errors leading to eight unearned runs played a big role in Williamsburg’s loss.
The Lady Yellow Jackets (2-9) also struggled at the plate, failing to get a hit while Jasmine Stephens turned out to be the lone baserunner after drawing a walk.
Kyli Monhollen took the loss in the pitcher’s circle, allowing 10 hits and seven earned runs in 2 2/3 innings of work. She also struck out two batters.
