Lady Jaguars snap two-game losing skid with 15-4 win over Owensboro

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Chris Edwards’ North Laurel Lady Jaguars broke out the bats, scoring a season-best 15 runs during their 15-4 win over Owensboro on Wednesday.
The Lady Jaguars were able to snap a two-game losing skid with the win while improving to 5-5 during the process.
Emma Carl had a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBI, and three runs scored while belting a home run. Saige McClure followed with a 3-for-4 effort while driving in a game-best four RBI. She also scored twice. Katie Keen was also perfect at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with three runs scored while Morgan Edwards tallied two hits, an RBI, and a run scored. Bella Sizemore delivered a hit, two RBI, and scored once while Bella Finley connected with a run-scoring hit while scoring once. Katie Adams drove in a run and scored twice.
Tessa Monhollen was sharp on the mound, pitching five innings while scattering five hits and four earned runs. She struck out four batters.
North Laurel led 3-1 after the first inning before using a nine-run second inning to secure the win.
