Knox Central ran its record to a perfect 3-0 after cruising past winless South Laurel with a 33-6 win.
Steven Partin continued his impressive season by rushing for 100 yards, and a touchdown while passing for 255 yards and three scores. He also had 44 yards on a kick-off return, finishing with 399 all-purpose yards.
KT Turner recorded two touchdowns while Gavin Chadwell also had a receiving touchdown.
Knox Central will be back in action Thursday at home at 8 p.m.
The Panthers picked up where they left off last week, and scored on their first drive.
It only took Knox Central 18 seconds to find the end zone as Steven Partin connected with Gavin Chadwell for a seven-yard touchdown connection. The Panthers added a two-point conversion to push their lead to 8-0.
Knox Central continued to add to its lead minutes later after another defensive stop. The Panthers’ Jacob Smith scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown to give Buckner’s squad a 14-0 lead with 4:04 remaining in the opening quarter.
Knox Central began to pull away after Partin scored his 10th rushing touchdown of the season, a two-yarder, allowing his team to pull away to a 21-0 lead with 10:41 remaining in the first half.
The Panthers continued to run away with the win in the second half, pulling out the 33-6 victory.
