JACKSON CITY – Kylie Moore showcased her batting prowess with a perfect three-for-three performance, powering the Jackson County Lady Generals to a commanding 16-0 victory over Buckhorn. Moore’s contributions included a triple in the fourth, a single in the second, and a double in the third inning.
The Lady Generals wasted no time taking the lead, with Lexi Brockman’s single bringing in two runs in the first inning, followed by Berkli Young and Macy Wathen each being hit by a pitch to drive in runs. The team continued to build on their advantage in the second inning, with Moore’s single, Brockman’s ground out, Young’s walk, and Ella Sallee’s steal home adding to the scoreline.
In the third inning, Jackson County piled on five more runs, courtesy of RBI singles from Baylee Berry, Brockman, and Wathen. Moore also dominated from the pitcher’s mound, keeping Buckhorn scoreless while striking out seven and walking two over four innings.
Wathen stood out with three RBIs, leading the team’s offensive charge, while Berry and Brockman contributed multiple hits. The Lady Generals’ disciplined approach at the plate resulted in seven walks, with Candice Williams and Young drawing two each.
The team’s speed on the base paths was evident as Moore, Berry, Aubrey Estridge, Blakelynn Fee, Sallee, and Amber Smith combined for multiple stolen bases, totaling an impressive 16 for the game. Defensively, the Lady Generals displayed flawless execution, committing zero errors.
