Lady Redhounds drop ninth in a row, fall to Assumtpion, 12-11

The Lady Redhounds were looking for their first win since March 27, but saw a 9-3 lead evaporate and turn into a 12-11 loss to Assumption on Saturday.

Corbin (4-12) trailed 3-2 at the end of the first inning but scored three runs in the third inning and four runs in the fourth inning to take a 9-3 edge.

Assumption answered with five runs in the top of the fifth before seeing the Lady Redhounds score two runs in the bottom of the fifth to push their lead to 11-8.

Assumption scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 11 apiece before pushing across the winning run in the top of the seventh.

Raegan Walker connected with her second home run of the day and finished 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBI, and two runs scored. Kaili Sanders had two hits and two RBI while Kallie Housley went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and two runs scored. Anela Sanders finished with two hits.

Danni Foley took the loss in seven innings of work, allowing 14 hits and seven earned runs. She struck out four batters.
