Cayden Grigsby and Cam Wilson turned things up a notch during Middlesboro’s, 49-26, win over Garrard County.
When Wilson wasn’t breaking long kick-off returns, he was on the receiving end of Grigsby’s touchdown passes or returning interceptions for a score.
Grigsby also turned in another stellar effort from behind center, playing a role in the Yellow Jackets’ first win of the season.
By the time the game and finished, Grigsby had thrown over 250 yards and four TDs unofficially along with a rushing TD while Wilson had four receiving TDs and an interception for a score.
Middlesboro scored the game’s first two touchdowns and never looked back.

Grigsby then hit Wilson in stride with a 29-yard touchdown pass, giving the Yellow Jackets a 7-0 lead with 10:59 remaining in the first quarter.
Grigsby have Middlesboro some more cushion (14-0) in the second quarter by scoring on a 73-yard run with 4:52 left in the first half.
Garrard County opened the third quarter with an impressive scoring drive. The Mountain Lions connected with a 42-yard touchdown pass while cutting their deficit in half at 14-7 with 10:34 remaining in the third quarter.
Middlesboro answered with a two-yard touchdown by Vincent Smith and then a 55-yard interception return for a score by Wilson, increasing the Yellow Jackets’ cushion to 28-7 with 3:57 left in the third quarter.
Wilson continued his impressive game by catching a 43-yard bomb from Grigsby at the 10:49 mark of the fourth quarter to give his team a commanding 35-13 lead.
Grigsby and Wilson hooked up twice for touchdown scores late in the game to seal a 49-26 win.
Middlesboro will be a heavy favorite in this Friday’s Week 4 road matchup with Lynn Camp.
