The last time Harlan started the season with a 3-0 record was 2015.
Friday, the Green Dragons got three touchdowns from sophomore quarterback Donovan Montanaro on runs of 6, 12 and 24 to lead the charge in a 36-0 victory ar Unaka (Tenn.).
Senior running back had two touchdown runs of 1 and 9 yards and added a pair of two-point conversions for the Dragons.
Ward had 74 yards on 19 carries for Harlan. Montanaro followed with 67 yards on seven rushes. Darius Akal added 55 yards on 11 carries
Harlan has an open date next week before traveling to Middlesboro.
