LEXINGTON — Corbin had hopes of capturing consecutive wins for the first time since March 27, but couldn’t get things going at the plate, losing to Henry Clay on Tuesday, 9-2.
The Lady Redhounds (5-13) fell behind 5-0 in the first inning, and never recovered. Corbin trailed 6-0 before scoring its first run in the third inning while Henry Clay added three more runs in the top of the third to put the game out of reach.
The Lady Redhounds committed three errors leading to two unearned runs as Kallie Housley took the loss, lasting seven innings while surrendering eight hits and seven earned runs. Housley struck out eight batters.
Corbin finished with only four hits (Raegan Walker, Bailey Stewart, Alana Stidham and Kennedie Guiher) in the loss.
