Jaguars watch two-run lead turn into 7-4 loss to Leslie County 

LONDON — North Laurel had hopes of winning consecutive games while carrying over the momentum it had gained after its win over Clay County on Tuesday.

The Jaguars held a 4-2 lead over visiting Leslie County after four innings of play on Thursday but saw the Eagles push across five answered runs during their 7-4 loss.

Leslie County took control of the game with a three-run fifth inning while adding insurance runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Zac Johnson started the game for North Laurel (7-10), lasting four innings while allowing seven hits, and five earned runs. He struck out one batter. Cam Hinkle pitched the final three innings, allowing a hit and a run while striking out a batter.

Andrew Cupp and Cooper Elza delivered run-scoring hits in the loss while Carter Kelley, and Eli Holt finished with a hit apiece. Jude McWhorter finished with an RBI.
