Jaguars rally from five-run deficit to defeat Barbourville, 17-11

North Laurel (9-11) spotted the Tigers a 5-0 lead in the first inning before answering with eight runs in the bottom of the first to take an 8-5 advantage.

North Laurel never trailed again, using a six-run fourth inning to take a 14-7 lead while never looking back.

Carter Kelley led the way with a 3-for-4 effort, driving in two runs and scoring four times. Cooper Elza finished with two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored while Eli Holt had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored. Cameron Smith was a perfect 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI while Jude McWhorter finished with two hits, three RBI and one run scored. J. Douglas Gilliam, and Dylan Hurley had a hit, an RBI and scored twice apiece while Cam Hinkle finished with a hit and two RBI.

Hinkle also got the win on the mound, lasting 4 2/3 of an inning while allowing four hits and two earned runs. He struck out three batters.

Luke Hillard led Barbourville with three hits, an RBI, and a run scored while Connor West had two hits, three RBI, and one run scored.
