Lady Jaguars remain red-hot, win ninth in a row

LONDON — North Laurel remains the hottest team in the 13th Region after capturing an impressive 11-1 win over GRC on Monday.

The Lady Jaguars (13-6) scored all of their runs in the first three innings and cruised to the win.

Emma Carl notched another win in the pitcher’s circle while allowing three hits and one earned run. She finished with seven strikeouts.

Braylee Fawbush came up big at the plate with two hits and three RBI while Bella Sizemore and Ellie Adams had a hit and two RBI apiece. Katie Keen continued to swing a hot bat, collecting two hits while scoring twice. Carl also had two hits.

“Another good win,” North Laurel coach The girls came out ready to go. Scored early and really hit the ball hard tonight. Finished with 10 hits, six of the nine girls got hits while Braylee Fawbush and Katie Keen had multiple hits.

“Another good night pitching, allowing three hits and one earned,” he added. “No defensive mistakes either. I’ll take both of those every night. Quick turnaround with Jackson County on the road tomorrow and then Corbin at home Thursday. Going to have to be ready for both of these games. Go Jags.”
