WILLIAMSBURG — South Laurel remained perfect in 50th District play, improving to 17-5 overall and 4-0 against district competition with an easy 15-0 win over Williamsburg on Tuesday.
After failing to score a run in the first inning, the Lady Cardinals pushed across runs in the final four innings, using a seven-run fourth inning, and a six-run fifth inning to secure the win.
Audrey Likins got the win, tossing all five innings while allowing only one hit, and finishing with four strikeouts.
Emmie Rice led the way at the plate with three hits and two RBI while Bailey Frazier went 2-for-3 with two RBI while scoring three times. Skye Lawson had a hit and three RBI while Likins finished with a hit, two RBI and one run scored. Addison Baker collected a hit, two RBI and three runs scored while Morgan Jackson delivered two hits, an RBI and scored twice. Kenzie Williams finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored while Amara Hord had a hit and scored twice. Kennedy Ryan had a hit while Ryleigh Bretz scored once.
Brooklyn Taylor had a hit for Williamsburg, who is now 3-16 and 0-3.
