“Facebook vs. Twitter “- Week 3 Fan Vote Pick’em Totals, is Twitter starting to show some separation after North Laurel’s big win

This is just my weekly column checking on how our fan vote is going. So I guess I’m trying to make it a little competitive.

Come on now, everyone likes a little competition, if we didn’t have it we couldn’t have any bragging rights .

First off before we start crunching the numbers, may I say, “What a night of highschool football in the 13th Region!” I got to see firsthand one of the best football games I have ever watched. The North Laurel and Johnson Central game last night will go down as a Classic.

North Laurel pulled it out at the end 15-14 with alot of late game heroics. If you want the full game recap check out our story on our page 13thregionmedianetwork.com.

Plus it was a down to the wire win by the cardiac kids out of Williamsburg, and a muscle flexing performance by those Redhounds out of Corbin. I could go on for days about these games, but let’s get into some muscle flexing by our Twitter voters.

Facebook went 7-3 this week , missed on North Laurel/Johnson Central,  Harlan/Unaka, Tenn., and the Whitley County/Harlan County games. The most votes received on Facebook was the Corbin/Franklin County game receiving 122

Twitter had another week for the ages.

The fans voted 9 out of 10 games right only missing on the North Laurel/Johnson Central game. The most votes received on Twitter this week was the Knox Central/ South Laurel game receiving 28 votes.

After 3 weeks Twitter is leading Facebook with the Fan Vote. Twitter has successfully picked right 28 out of 31 games while Facebook has picked 25 out of 31 games. Just a message for Facebook, it’s a long season, it’s not over.

One more side note, how big of  a upset was the North Laurel and Johnson Central game?

I picked Johnson Central,  I was wrong. Facebook had 108 votes on the game with 85 percent choosing Johnson Central. Twitter out of 21 votes 71 percent picked Johnson Central — just remember, on any given Friday.
