Cameron Smith turns in 3-for-3 effort during Jaguars’ 15-0 win over Barbourville 

BARBOURVILLE — North Laurel remains one of the hottest teams in the 13th Region after turning in a 15-0 win over Barbourville on Friday.

Cameron Smith turned in a perfect 3-for-3 effort at the plate while delivering a home run, three RBI, and one run scored. Carter Kelley was 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs scored while Eli Holt and Andrew Cupp were 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored apiece. Cooper Elza turned in a 2-for-2 effort while driving in two runs and scoring once. Lucas Cupp finished with a hit while J. Douglas Gilliam added a hit, an RBI, and two runs scored. Cooper Parman had a hit, two RBI and a run scored while Cam Hinkle drove in a run. Jude McWhorter added a hit and scored twice.

“I am incredibly proud of my team’s performance,” North Laurel coach Darren McWhorter said. “Hopefully, we can carry this momentum into next week because we will be playing an extremely tough schedule next week and our last 12 games of the season.”

Bradyn Evans got the win for North Laurel (13-11), tossing two innings while striking out two batters.
