Hunter Wilson homers during Colonels’ come from behind win over Somerset 

HARRISON COUNTY — Whitley County ran its record to 17-8 after holding off a late rally by Somerset on Friday.

The Colonels fell behind 3-0 in the third inning before answering with three runs in the fourth inning and three runs in the fifth inning to claim a 6-3 advantage.

The Briar Jumpers scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but couldn’t push across any more.

Bradyn Bargo got the win, lasting six innings while allowing seven hits and three earned runs. Trey Walton pitched 2/3 of an inning, surrendering two hits and two earned runs while Kip Allen got the save, recording the final out of the game.

Hunter Wilson came up big at the plate, delivering a home run while finishing with two hits, three RBI and one run scored. Ronald Osborne and Tyler Rose finished with two hits apiece while EJ Allen and Jason Nunley had one hit, one RBI, and a run scored apiece.
