Kenzie Williams dominates during South Laurel’s 18-0 win over Lady Black Bears

The Lady Cardinals ran their record to 19-5, win streak to seven games while improving to 10-1 against regional opponents with an easy 18-0 win over Harlan County on Saturday.

Led by Kenzie Williams’ effort at the plate and in the circle, South Laurel used a 10-run first inning to out the game out of reach.

Williams connected with her fourth home run of the season while going 4-for-4 with four RBI and one run scored. She was just as dominant in the pitcher’s circle, notching her 12th win while tossing a complete game. Williams allowed one hit and struck out 11 of the 12 batters she faced.

Ryleigh Bretz also connected with a home run, her third, while driving in three runs and scoring once. Amara Horn was 2-for-2 with an RBI and three runs scored whileAddison Baker was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and two runs scored. Morgan Jackson had two hits, an RBI, and two runs scored while Bailey Frazier was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Emmie Rice drove in a run while Sadie Lewis, Piper Jackson, and Skye Lawson scored a run apiece. Kennedy Nolan had a hit while Audrey Likins scored a run and drove in a run. Kinlee Ertel finished with a hit, an RBI and three runs scored.
