Williamsburg beats Jellico, falls to Model

Game One

Williamsburg 16, Jellico, Tenn. 1

The Lady Yellow Jackets broke open a 5-1 game by scoring 11 runs in the fourth inning to defeat Jellico, Tenn., 16-1.

Eight players delivered hits in the win for Williamsburg (4-16), as Kyli Monhollen, and Jasmine Stephens led the way with two hits and three RBI apiece. Makenzie Rice, and Kaitlyn Moses finished with a hit, two RBI, and two runs apiece. Kendall Hamlin connected with a hit, driving in three runs and scoring once while Allie Wilson, Chloe Barman, and Kendall Hamlin finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored apiece. Haylee Baird finished with a hit, an RBI, and two runs scored. 

Wilson got the win, pitching the entire game while allowing one hit and no earned runs. She struck out seven batters.

Game Two

Model 10, Williamsburg 6

Williamsburg fell behind 3-0, but managed to tie the game at three apiece in the bottom of the second inning before Model reeled off five straight runs to build an 8-3 lead en route to its 10-6 victory.

Chloe Barman turned in a three-hit effort while driving in two runs for the Lady Yellow Jackets (4-17) while Jasmine Stephens and Haylee Baird finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Kaitlyn Moses drove in a run while Makenzie Rice scored once. Allie Wilson finished with a hit and a run scored while Kaitlyn Moses drove in a run.
