South Laurel caps off perfect day with 7-3 win over Berea-Midpark

The Cardinals ran their record to 17-9 while posting a 2-0 mark on the day thanks to a 7-3 win over Berea-Midpark and an earlier 3-2 victory over Prestonsburg.
Reece Noble and Austin Byrd finished with three hits apiece. Noble scored twice and Byrd scored once while Jack Vaughn drove in two runs while finishing with a hit and a run scored. Keaton Smith delivered a hit and an RBI while Tyler Curry finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Vince Sizemore delivered a hit and scored once. Will Alsip drove in two runs while Kamdin Deweese scored once.
Smith notched the win, tossing 2 1/3 of an inning allowing three hits and three earned runs.
