Jackson County’s run in the All ‘A’ Classic Fastpitch State Tournament came to an end Sunday morning after dropping a 6-1 decision to Russellville.
The Lady Generals (17-8) held a 1-0 lead until the fifth inning when Russellville scored four runs. The Lady Panthers added two more runs in the sixth inning to put the game away.
Aubrey Estridge led Jackson County at the plate with a 3-for-3 effort with one run scored. Baylee Berry was 2-for-4 with an RBI while Lexi Brock had two hits and Candice Williams finished with a hit.
Williams took the loss, pitching six innings while allowing eight hits, and six earned runs. She struck out eight batters.
