GREEN RIVER LAKE — South Laurel’s turned in impressive showings during this past weekend’s Region 3 boys’ and girls’ bass fishing tournaments.
Hailey Anderson and Brook Martin captured the region championship by catching four fish with a total weight of 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
On the boys’ coed side, the duo teams of Braydon Hodges and Landon Alexander and Wade Brock and Clay Bales qualified for the state tournament, which will be held at Kentucky Lake.
Hodges/Alexander finished third overall with a total weight of 16 pounds, 11 ounces. Brock/Bales finished 10th with a total weight of 13 pounds, 2 ounces.
The following South Laurel anglers also competed in the event:
23rd — Isaac Alsip and Logan Kilburn weighed in at 9 pounds, 14 ounces.
30th — Jaydon Jones and Lucas Campbell weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
46th — Aaron Kilburn and Henry McWhorter weighed in at 4 pounds, 6 ounces
Also competing Trey Smith and Gage Baker did not weigh in.
