The Corbin High School bass fishing team turned in impressive results this past weekend during the Region 3 Tournament.

GREEN RIVER LAKE — The duo of Emilie Curry and Mackenzie Curry finished runner-up in the girls’ division and will advance to the state tournament with a total weight of 3 pounds, and 7 ounces.
Corbin continued to excel in the boys’ division as the duo teams of Nathan Grega/Cameron Christian and Jacob White/Keegan Reeder earned state tournament bids as well.
Grega/Christian placed eighth overall with a total weight of 13 pounds, and 4 ounces while White/Reeder finished 13th with a total weight of 12 pounds, 2 ounces.
Corbin also had three more teams compete in the event with Colby Gambrel/Hunter Napier finishing 35th (6 pounds, 10 ounces), Zander Curry/Jace Lee placing 40th (6 pounds, and 1 ounce), and Cameron Slone/Braydon Carpenter turning in a 49th place effort (3 pounds, 12 ounces).
