North Laurel Bass Fishing team once again asserted its supremacy in the KHSAA Region 3 Tournament

In a display of sheer dominance, the North Laurel Bass Fishing team once again asserted its supremacy in the KHSAA Region 3 Tournament held at Green River Lake. Spearheaded by the formidable team of Nick Davidson and Carson Elza, the team clinched the top honors with an astounding total weight of 19.06 pounds, reaffirming their position as frontrunners in the competitive bass fishing arena.

North Laurel’s reign of excellence was further underscored by their capture of the big fish title, with Davidson and Elza reeling in an impressive specimen weighing an astonishing 6.04 pounds. This remarkable achievement served as a resounding statement of their unparalleled skill and expertise on the water.

“I am just thankful for the opportunity to fish and for my boat captain,” declared Nick Davidson, reflecting on their resounding victory. “It’s a testament to the dedication and camaraderie that define our team. When you wake up knowing you will catch fish you know you’re going to win!”

Carson Elza echoed his sentiments, adding, “To dominate the competition and secure victory is truly gratifying. We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. We get a lot support for not only from our team and coach but from our boat captain Marvin Asher and both of our parents and grandparents.”

The triumph of the North Laurel Bass Fishing team serves as a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence and their relentless pursuit of success. Their commanding performance not only highlights their individual talent but also underscores the cohesive teamwork and strategic precision that have become hallmarks of the North Laurel approach. “We had some good performances today. All of
ours teams felt like they could compete and they all weighed in fish including our middle school teams. It’s a huge learning curve for the younger guys fishing against seasoned anglers.” Coach Stewart said. “I go into the beginning of each season and challenge the group to win this tournament, I hope next year we can be right here again, we don’t loose anyone so all these guys will be fishing again next year .” I also am looking forward to see what Carson and Nick can come up with at Kentucky Lake next week, at the KHSAA State Tournament. This is their 2nd trip to the state tournament so they will be better prepared this time.”

North Laurel also had Brayden Howard and JoeClay Durham 28th, 32nd Nathan and Johnny Couch, 39th Meguire day and Blaine smith, 41th Colton Stewart and Ayden Harris and 45th Wesley Oliver and Camden Craig.
“With 90 boats having all of our guys finish in the top half makes me excited for the future, the next few years will be really fun,” North Laurel coach Nathan Stewart said.
