North Laurel Jaguars Come Up Short 8-7 Despite Offensive Power and Pitching Challenges

LONDON — Despite a strong offensive performance with 12 hits, the North Laurel Varsity Jaguars couldn’t clinch a win against Southwestern, ultimately losing 8-7. Andrew Cupp led the charge with three hits, but unfortunately, it wasn’t sufficient to secure victory. Despite their best efforts, Southwestern rallied late in the game to take the lead. On the pitching mound, #16 of Southwestern earned the win, pitching two solid innings, allowing only one hit and no runs, while striking out one and walking three. In contrast, Cam Hinkle took the loss for the North Laurel Varsity Jaguars, pitching two innings and surrendering two runs, both unearned, on four hits, with one strikeout and no walks. Cooper Parman started on the hill for North Laurel, delivering a commendable performance over five innings, allowing seven hits and six runs, with three earned, while striking out three and walking four. Despite the setback, the team remains determined and looks forward to a chance at redemption in their upcoming game against Pulaski County.
