Corbin Redhounds drop a four game win streak with a 7-6 lose to Henry Clay.

LEXINGTON — In a disappointing turn of events, the Corbin Redhounds suffered a heartbreaking 7-6 loss to Henry Clay in Friday’s game.

Despite taking an early 6-0 lead by the fourth inning, Corbin saw their advantage slip away as Henry Clay mounted a remarkable comeback.

The Redhounds ignited their offense in the top of the first inning with Walker Landrum’s solo home run, followed by Jeremiah Gilbert’s two-run single and Clay Botner’s RBI single.

However, Henry Clay surged back in the bottom of the sixth, scoring seven runs on just two hits to snatch the lead. The pivotal moment came with a clutch single by Stephan, driving in two crucial runs.

Numer 11 earned the win for Henry Clay, pitching two scoreless innings in relief. Cruz Cima suffered the loss for the Redhounds, conceding seven runs (none earned) on one hit over two-thirds of an inning. Will Freeman started strong for Corbin, pitching five scoreless innings.

Gilbert led the offensive effort for the Redhounds with two RBIs, while Kade Elam, Landrum, and Botner each contributed with one hit. The Redhounds turned one double play in the game.

Stephan was the standout performer for Henry Clay, driving in two runs and going 3-for-4 at the plate. Henry Clay displayed discipline at the plate with seven walks. Day, Ia. Rone, and Draper led the team with two walks each.
