CORBIN — Corbin pitcher Danni Foley and Middlesboro pitcher Kaylee Lawson hooked up in an old fashioned pitcher’s duel on Tuesday.
Foley tossed seven innings, allowing no hits and no earned runs while Lawson gave up a hit and no earned runs as the Lady Redhounds did just enough to pull out a 1-0 win.
Foley finished with 11 Ks while Lawson struck out two batters.
With the game scoreless entering the bottom of the seventh, Raegan Walker led off by reaching first base due to an error while eventually scoring the game-winning run thanks to a sacrifice fly hit by Kennedie Guiher.
Guiher also had the game’s lone hit while the Lady Redhounds (12-14) committed one error and the Lady Yellow Jackets (10-14) finished with three errors.
