STEARNS — Nikki Hendrix’s Lynn Camp Lady wildcats swept a pair of games against McCreary Central on Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcat won the first game 5-3 before recording a 9-8 win in Game Two.
Game One
Lynn Camp 5, McCreary Central 3
The game was close throughout with the Lady Wildcats holding a 2-1 lead after an inning of play.
Lynn Camp held the one-run lead until the fifth inning when the Lady Wildcats added three insurance runs.
Allison Messer led the way with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored while Cambree Prewitt and Jorja Carnes added a run-scoring hit apiece.
Carnes got the win, pitching five innings while allowing five hits and three earned runs. She finished with seven Ks.
Game Two
Lynn Camp 9, McCreary Central 8
The Lady Wildcats built a 6-0 lead heading into the bottom of the second inning g before holding on to record a 9-8 win over McCreary Central.
Allison Messer had a big game at the plate with a 3-for-4 effort while driving in five runs, and scoring twice. Charity Steele delivered two hits, two RBI, and one run scored while Chelsea Hendrickson finished 3-for-5. Lauren Partin had two hits and two run scored while Jorja Carnes drove in two runs with a hit. Cambree Prewitt and Emma Burnette also had hits for Lynn Camp.
Messer pitched 5 2/3 of an inning, allowing three hits and one earned run while striking out seven batters. Carnes pitched the final 1/3 of an inning.
