Lady Redhounds’ win streak reaches season-best seven games

CORBIN — Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds locked up the 50th District’s No. 2 seed thanks to an easy, 14-0, win over Williamsburg.

Corbin (13-14 overall, 4-2 vs. 50th District foes) has now won seven games in a row while the Lady Yellow Jackets fell to 5-21 and 0-6.

“Well it was a great night for my Lady Redhounds,” Stidham said. “They were able to get another district win with our bats rolling. Danni Foley led the way going 4-for-4 with two doubles, two triples and four RBI. She also got help from Bailey Stewart, Anela Sanders, and Alana Stidham with each player finishing with three hits.

Bailey Stewart had a triple, an RBI, and scored three runs and Alana had a double with an RBI and a run,” she added. “Abi Beller, Kallie Housley, Raegan Walker, Morgan Hicks, and Kennedie Guiher each had a hit a piece amassing five RBI between them. Housley also picked up a triple on her hit.

“Just got the bats rolling,” Stidham continued. “Danni was great in the circle with six Ks and had the defense behind her doing work. Raegan Walker went beast mode at third with a heads up double play. Just a great night for our defense, allowing no errors. I’m so proud of my team. They have worked so hard this season, putting in the work, and they are putting it together and continue preparing for the postseason. Let’s go Lady Redhounds.”
