CORBIN — The Corbin Lady Redhounds have reeled off eight wins in a row and reached the .500 mark for the first time since March 28.
The Lady Redhounds (14-14) turned in another stellar effort on Friday, having no trouble with visiting Rockcastle County, winning, 10-3.
Corbin took advantage of three Lady Rocket errors while also connecting with nine hits.
Abi Beller got the nod in the circle, lasting 5 1/3 of an inning while allowing five hits and three earned runs, good enough to get the win. She also struck out two batters.
Danni Foley recorded the save, hurling the final 1 2/3 of an inning while allowing only one hit and no earned runs. She had two Ks.
The Lady Redhounds delivered two home runs in the win via Bailey Stewart and Kallie Housley.
Stewart was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored while Housley was 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Alana Stidham had two hits and scored twice while Foley finished with a hit and two RBI. Raegan Walker finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored while Beller scored twice. Morgan Hicks finished with a run scored while Kennedie Guiher delivered a hit. Anela Sanders drove in a run.
