Two big innings by Leslie County leads to Williamsburg’s 18-1 loss 

WILLIAMSBURG — A seven-run second inning combined with a 10-run sixth inning proved to be Williamsburg’s downfall during its 18-1 loss to Leslie County on Friday.

The Lady Yellow Jackets (5-22) fell behind 1-0 in the first inning and trailed 8-0 before they scored their lone run of the game.

The Lady Eagles scored 10 runs in the top of the sixth, and cruised to the 17-run victory.

Brooklyn Taylor led Williamsburg with a hit and an RBI while Kyli Monhollen, Kaitlyn Moses, and Chloe Barman finished with a hit apiece.

Allie Wilson took the loss, pitching 5 2/3 of an inning while allowing eight hits and nine earned runs. She struck out four batters. Monhollen recorded one out while allowing two hits.
