MANCHESTER — If you are a Clay County Tigers fan, you had a lot to cheer about on Friday.
Not only did the Tigers hand Knox Central a 10-0 loss, but senior pitcher Brandin Crawford recorded a no-hitter while coach Jason Smith hit his 300th career win in the process.
The win improved the Tigers to 16-12 while the Panthers fell to 12-10.
Crawford dominated on the mound, finishing with 11 strikeouts while Tate Rice was 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored. Talan Marcum had two hits, two RBI and a run scored while Johnathon Smith finished with two hits, an RBI and one run scored. Aiden Wagers delivered a hit and drove in two runs while Hayden Crockett and Hearld Sizemore drove in a run apiece.
